Commissions

Thank you for showing interest in my artwork! Below is all the information you would possibly need to commission me. Please note that I take my commissions through VGen only right now!

Before you order, please make sure to have read my Terms of Service. These terms apply to private commissions only, therefore the art can only be used for the client’s personal purposes. For commercial work, please contact me and we will discuss in more detail about how to handle this.

1. Pricing

Please refer to the pricing page on VGen for more information!

2. Will and Won't

The following is information on what I will and won't do for commission artwork. Please keep in mind that there is a bit of wiggle room for all of these, and I am allowed to deny any topic of commission for any reason.

• • Will: Humans, creatures (like furries or animals), OC x Canon, fandom, fanart, original characters, safe-for-work ships, complicated designs, light/medium gore, logos, NSFW (ask!)
• • Won't: Heavy mecha, ships I'm personally uncomfortable with, artwork for NFTs or AI, discriminatory content, fetish content.

Terms of Service

By commissioning me, you are agreeing to all of the following terms:

a. General Terms

All drawings may or will include a subtle signature that you may not remove.

I may record the drawing process and post it on my social medias unless you ask me not to.

Prices are subject to change based on demand.

I have the right to reject any order that I do not feel comfortable drawing for any reason.

Your commission is to be written in a clear manner with neat references. Please do not send me walls of texts, rude behavior, and alike or it may cause me to deny your commission.

I have neurodivergences that may make it difficult to understand what you are saying sometimes, so please keep this in mind when we are interacting!

If you have a problem with anything in regards to the commissioned piece please tell me right away so we can find a solution together!

I am willing to change some of my terms for you if you ask before I start on your commission. If you, e.g., do not want me to post your art anywhere, we can discuss this. Please ask if you would like your work to stay private!

b. Payment

Payment processing is done entirely through VGen and Stripe. I do not currently take commissions through other means unless we can arrange something seperate.

I have the right to cancel and refund the money for your commission at any time if outside circumstances or otherwise prevent me from completing the commission.

If for any reason I am unable to start your commission you will receive a full refund, or if you cancel your order before I started it, you can get a full refund.

If you are getting a refund, do not request a chargeback. I will transfer the money back to you myself.

If you file a chargeback against me, your right to whatever I have ever made for you will be retracted.

If you violate these terms in anyway, I will add you to a public blacklist to warn other artists. Upon having a violation to my terms of service, I also have every right to file a complaint and I have all the right to the money you have given me.

c. Process and Delivery

I will notify you when I have started on your commission. At this point, you will lose the right to a full refund depending on how far into the work I am.

While I'm working on your commission I will make reviews with you to make sure I make it just right for you! The amount of reviews depends on the complexity of the work, but you can ask to see how it is going at any time.

During the reviews, you will see work-in-progress and these images will usually include a watermark and be smaller than the finished piece.

The time it takes to finish your commission varies 1 week - 3 months depending on factors such as health, the complexity of the commissioned piece, my work, family life, and alike. If any of these following things happen that further delay my ability to work on your piece, you will be notified ASAP.

Once the piece is finished you will receive the full-resolution image along with a web-friendly size. Note that there is no physical product for this specific TOS. Depending on where you live, we can arrange to print your artwork.

d. Revisions

Revisions will be made as needed, but I will only allow for a maximum for 5 revisions.

A fee will be added if you want something changed on the final drawing - unless a misunderstanding from my side has been made.

If you wish for me to change something in the drawing you have previously approved (Such as an outfit change, outfit addition or subtraction, background change or anything that makes me have to redraw it completely.), I will charge you a fee to change it. The amount of the extra charge depends on the change you want me to make and is usually based on an hourly wage. However after a commission is finished, only small changes are allowed to be made.

If your reference is unclear to start, changes may come at an extra charge.

e. Copyright/Usage Policy

I, Mars (the artist), claim the rights to the produced drawing, not the buyer. Therefore I am allowed to use the copyrighted artwork to:

• • Promote myself with it on social media unless otherwise stated before the art is started.
• • Use in my portfolio on my personal website, on VGen, and for private portfolios for hiring opportunities.

However, the commissioner is allowed to:

• • Use the commissioned piece for personal use unless agreed otherwise (you can upload it on all your social media profiles, forums, etc.)
• • Print the artwork and claim the character(s) as their own, but not the artwork itself.
• • Use the artwork to promote themselves. Please give me credit when you can!
• • Use the artwork on their Youtube channel and in monetized videos as long as the artwork itself is not the main subject for the earnings.

If you break the copyright infringement in any way, rights to the drawing will be retracted.

The following is considered Copyright Infringement:

• • Reproducing/using the copyrighted artwork commercially - means making money off it in any way. This includes selling prints of the work without a prior arrangement, creating sellable products using the work, and alike.
• • Claiming the artwork as your own.
• • Removing my signature from the artwork.
• • Altering the artwork majorly without my consent.
• • Using my artwork to train AI, or be used as NFTs.

I reserve the full rights to the image and its use/distribution unless otherwise agreed upon (rights to the image for your own non-personal use may be purchased at any time)

4. Payment

All payment processing and similar will be done through VGen and are elaborated on my VGen commissioning page.

If for any reason you do not want to use VGen, I will be willing to find a compromise with you using PayPal if necessary. Please know this will be on a case-by-case basis and it is not likely smaller commissions will be taken through external means.

5. Template

To commission me, I would greatly prefer if you send me a message and your reference of what you want me to draw. In some form, please include the following information in your message, whether that be the form exactly or something similar:

Please give me everything you have on your character that you want me to have in mind when drawing them, also characters from series I may not know. Please provide any information or links that may help me draw your character. I want to create work for you that collaborates with you and perfectly shows what you have in mind!
